Barnes Building & Remodeling is a modern design/build firm using the latest computer-aided design tools and skilled construction professionals to provide Central Massachusetts with a single source for complete residential and light commercial remodeling and construction services. We offer our customers a superior design and construction experience that makes the entire process as efficient, cost-effective, and painless as possible.
Started by Kevin Barnes, a WPI graduate with a degree in civil engineering and 15 years of construction industry experience, Barnes Building & Remodeling offers a professional approach to building and remodeling that has enabled us to rapidly build a base of satisfied customers.
Above all, we believe that our customers and their homes deserve to be treated with respect and consideration. We take pride in our work and in maintaining a clean, organized worksite that minimizes the affect of construction and remodeling on our customer’s daily lives and property.
Communication is the Key.
We know how hard it is to get in touch with many builders and trade professionals. That’s why we work hard to answer calls, return messages, and communicate with our customers. Before we pick up a tool, we go over every aspect of the project with the customer to make sure they understand exactly what to expect. Our comprehensive checklist covers every detail, from worksite etiquette and cleanup to permitting and final delivery.
To make sure every project runs smoothly, we practice the Lead Carpenter business model – we assign a master lead carpenter to every project so that there’s someone on site responsible for making sure things get done. To facilitate matters, we have a “white board” on every job site that acts as a central message point for the work crew AND the homeowner – no more missed messages or miscommunications. Need to tell the lead carpenter something before you head off to work? Just leave a note on the white board. Want to make sure something happens first thing Monday morning? Write a quick message on the white board over the weekend while you’re thinking about it.
